- גְּעִי, גְּעָאch. sam(געי, געה to burst forth, to roar, low). Targ. 1 Sam. 6:12. (Ib. 2:5 וגען some ed., corr. וגָאָן, v. גאי). Targ. Job 6:5, v. גִּיחַ.Y.Taan.II, 65b והוו אילין גּעֲיֵיוכ׳ and they lowed from this side ; Pesik. Shubah, p. 161a> מְגַעֲיִין. Y.Ber.II, 5a top גָּעַת תורתיה his cow lowed; Lam. R. to I, 16, end. Pa. גַּעֵי same, v. supra.
